Welcome to a little recap of my Annual Vision Board Party: a yearly tradition where we dive into dreams, set intentions, strategically goal-set, and bask in the company of good souls. This time, we turned “The Madison” venue in Cleveland into our haven of creativity, & self-reflection, and I’ve got tons of pictures to show for it! First, let me explain a little bit about this party, & how it works!
A Vision Board is a way to give yourself a visual, tangible reminder of the things that matter most to you! It’s a fun experience that allows you to organize all of your ambitions in a creative and motivating way. I have been creating a Vision Board for years and years now, and I’ve truly found it to really serve as a guide map for my new year, each year.

It’s even better when you get to create your board surrounded by other individuals that are just as excited. I love walking around and asking everyone questions about their boards and the meaning behind the images they’ve cut from magazines to place on them. This time, I was surrounding by a lot of familiar faces, from close friends to repeat attendees. Can I just say, that is such a comforting and amazing feeling to witness. I left the party feeling extremely grateful and maybe shed a little happy tear. (or 10… lol.)
Prepping for the party is a little bit easier these days, as I have accumulated tons of supplies over the years. But in case you’re curious, here’s some of the essentials I packed:
You also can’t forget yummy snacks and pretty cocktails. Special shoutout to The Madison venue for letting us host in their brand-new event room “The Grove.” It was the perfect location for our party, giving us tons of natural light, roomy space, & delicious Mimosas served to us by Licursi Bartending. They also provided a fun photobooth, which was an absolute hit with all the guests!

Prior to actually making the board, I encouraged my guests to first, do a little bit of organizing & self-reflection with my goal planning worksheets. On the sheets, there were 6 different goal categories to reflect on:
Additionally, this year I provided a worksheet for the “10-10-10 exercise.” This exercise is designed to help you dig deep & reflect on your life’s desires & true joys and is especially helpful for when you’re feeling a bit lost in life.
Once everyone was done with their organizing, it was then time for the fun part: assembling your goals and dreams onto a poster board. There are honestly so many ways you can go about making your vision board, and truly there is no wrong way. For me personally: it ends up being a mixture of goal lists to cross off when I achieve them, but mostly it gets super artsy and crafty. (as to be expected lol) Now, my boyfriend’s vision board is complete opposite! He’s very analytical & likes structure, so his board is typed out, straight to the point, and has minimal crafting. It’s always really fun walking around the room and checking out how everyone is going about their New Year visions & seeing what their process looks like.

Before leaving with our finished boards, everyone had a great time documenting their creations with the provided Photobooth! It’s been a minute since i’ve done a “millennial boomerang” but when a photobooth gives you the option, you can’t help but tap into your roots and make it happen. (lol)
So, there ya have it! My absolute favorite event of the year was an absolute success! My heart is not only feeling so motivated, but it’s also feeling extra warm and fuzzy. I have such amazing friends & supporters in my life that i’m so so grateful for. Additionally, it’s just so incredible to be in a room surrounded by individuals excited about life, and to see them dreaming big & passionately.. So, that being said, are you convinced to try and make a Vision Board yet?! Let me know in the comments!
In the meantime, stay tuned for part 2 of this blog as I’ll be sharing the final results of my board!
Thank you to everyone who attended and helped this year’s event and thank you for reading this little recap!
Stay shining, & stay creating!
Sincerely, your artsy friend that is rooting for you –
