Heyyyyyy there sunshines! Arastasia, aka – Artsy Airy, here! Today, I’m taking you on a journey through our cozy green bathroom transformation! Our home has a tiny bathroom, that used to be ugly, outdated, and honestly.. sorta off-putting. The bathtub was ancient and stained, the toilet was falling apart, and the wall color was boring. There really was no theme to our bathroom, and all-in-all, it wasn’t the most inviting space. BUT… with a little bit of paint, and a vision in mind – a transformation was blooming!
So how do you turn a small bathroom into something out of a home magazine? My boyfriend and I sat down to discuss ideas, and instantly, we both decided we wanted the bathroom to feel relaxing and spa-like. We both work so hard in our careers, and I especially, want to soak in a steaming hot bubble bath after painting murals all day. (after washing the paint off of course..lol) The only thing… our bathroom doesn’t have a lot of room to work with. So, let’s dive in and discover how painting the walls a deep green shade, combined with a dreamy rainfall showerhead, and maybeeee some fresh plants, worked magic in this teeny space.

You can find links of what we purchased / will be purchasing, for our renovation on my “ Cozy Green Bathroom Transformation Amazon Storefront.” In the mean time, here’s a quick list with specifics of what we purchased for the project.

You know how it is with small bathrooms; they can feel cramped and claustrophobic. But we were determined to change that, and to embrace the small space that we had. We decided to go all-in with a paint color that would wrap us in coziness. After a lot of color swatches and debate, we settled on Behr Dark Everglade. It’s this beautiful, deep shade of green that gave the bathroom an instant sense of intimacy. We started by painting the walls, and then I decided to go full send and also paint the ceilings the same color. I figured, if the bathroom is already small – why not double down on the coziness and make it a seamless transition.
Now, we’ve always dreamt of having one of those fancy rainfall showerheads you find in luxurious hotels. So, with many debates on which to settle on, we found our perfect match. It even has a hand-held shower wand for that extra touch of convenience. Let me tell you, stepping into that shower feels like being pampered in a spa, and I personally love the shower wand for washing my hair & shaving my legs.
To add a touch of glam, we decided to spray-paint the mirror, light fixtures, and hardware in a stunning gold hue. It was a fun little DIY project, and we were amazed at the difference it made. Suddenly, our bathroom looked like a chic retreat you’d find in a fancy magazine. I’ve always said, with a glue gun and some spray paint – you can conquer the world. (or at least DIY projects..) I also think the gold really stands out against the dark green, and provides a contrast to the style and decor. The warm tones definitely add some of that comfort vibe, but the metallic gold levels it up a notch.
As far as the other decor goes, here’s some links and explanations:
We wanted more than just a visual transformation; we wanted our bathroom to be an experience for all the senses. So, we picked up some fresh eucalyptus and plants from Trader Joe’s. Hanging eucalyptus from the showerhead not only looks pretty, but it also fills the air with this soothing, invigorating scent. It’s like having a mini spa right at home. And the bonus? Eucalyptus is known for its sinus-relief properties, perfect for those days when you’re feeling a little stuffy. (or feeling extra allergic to your cats that you adore.. but your sinuses do not adore) Additionally, I added in some other plants that love humidity & warmth. Adding in the plants and eucalyptus is not only good for your health, but also adds a cozy boho vibe to the style we were going for.
And there you have it, our tiny bathroom transformation journey. With a little creativity and some fantastic products, we turned our tiny bathroom into a cozy haven that feels like a retreat. We hope our experience inspires you to embark on your own bathroom makeover adventure. Remember, it’s not about the size of the space but the love and attention you put into making it your own personal oasis. Happy transforming!
